Gemeinsam bringen sie jiddische, norddeutsche und osteurop\u00e4ische Musik auf die B\u00fchne. Solo, im Duo und als gro\u00dfes Ensemble pr\u00e4sentieren sie archaische Gesangsstile aus Polen, der Ukraine, und Wei\u00dfrussland – jene Regionen, in denen auch die Klezmorim zuhause waren – ebenso wie gef\u00fchlvolle Melodien und Lieder aus der jiddischen Tradition und treibenden Folk aus norddeutschen Quellen und verbinden diese Einfl\u00fcsse zu einem einzigartigen Ganzen.<\/p>\n
Deborah Strauss (Violine, Akkordeon, Gesang, Tanz) und Kantor Jeff Warschauer (Gitarre, Mandoline, Gesang) sind zwei sehr sympathische und gef\u00fchlvolle K\u00fcnstler aus den USA, die aus der Klezmer-, jiddischen, chassidischen und liturgischen Musik und Kultur sch\u00f6pfen und ihre eigenen Kompositionen und Interpretationen hinzuf\u00fcgen. Ihre Musik basiert auf den Traditionen, ist aber immer zeitgem\u00e4\u00df. Jeff Warschauer ist ein international bekannter Mandolinist, Gitarrist, S\u00e4nger und P\u00e4dagoge; zudem ist er Dozent an der Columbia University und Kantor in einer j\u00fcdischen Gemeinde. Deborah Strauss ist eine international anerkannte Klezmer Violinistin und Lehrerin, die sich seit \u00fcber 30 Jahren in der Klezmer- und Jiddischen Musik Szene engagiert.<\/p>\n
Ewa Grochowska ist eine polnische Musikerin, S\u00e4ngerin und Lehrerin traditioneller osteurop\u00e4ischer Gesangsstile. Sie erforscht engagiert und mit Herz die Traditionen der osteurop\u00e4ischen, besonders der polnischen Lieder und Instrumentalmusik der D\u00f6rfer. Seit mehr als 20 Jahren bereist Ewa l\u00e4ndliche Regionen und lebt und spricht mit den Leuten. So lernt sie die Geschichten, Lieder, Stile und Melodien der alten S\u00e4nger und Musiker und erweckt diese fast vergessenen Weisen auf ihre Art wieder zum Leben.<\/p>\n
Die Gastgeber von der Gruppe Malbrook werden sich in diesem Jahr bei ihrem Teil des Abends auf St\u00fccke konzentrieren, die Bandgr\u00fcnder Wolfgang Meyering f\u00fcr die beiden Gruppen \u201eSpillwark\u201c und \u201eMalbrook\u201c geschrieben hat. Gemeinsam mit Vivien Zeller, Ralf Gehler, Ernst Poets und Michael „Wacki“ Waterstradt interpretieren sie mit viel Energie und Spielfreude die tief in der norddeutschen Tradition verwurzelten Lieder und Melodien.<\/p>\n
